In honor of beloved “Smoke”!

We fondly remember the day when we welcomed a small black puppy into our home, naming him Smoke. Smoke, a Cane Corso, quickly grew in size and strength, yet his puppy eyes remained as endearing as ever. Despite his intimidating appearance, Smoke was truly a gentle giant whom we adored. He served as our loyal protector, both inside and outside the home, keeping us safe from any intruders, including skunks and possums. Smoke had a special way of greeting us when we returned home, his eyes lighting up at the mention of a walk or a tasty treat. However, his mischievous side often led him to mischief, as he had a knack for finding and destroying any food, socks, or paper towels left within his reach. Though his bark could strike fear into the hearts of strangers, a simple treat could win him over.

A few years ago, we noticed lumps on Smoke’s body, and to our dismay, he was diagnosed with cancer. Smoke exhibited tremendous strength and resilience throughout his chemo treatments, ultimately defeating the disease. We are so grateful for Dr. Cheryl Harris ! Yet, as time passed, the cancer returned, and despite his valiant efforts, Smoke’s age made the battle more difficult. Sadly, on June 12, 2024, we said goodbye to our beloved Smoke as he peacefully took his last breath. We cherish the memories we shared with him and take comfort in knowing that he is now in a better place. We miss you dearly, Smoke.
