When our family welcomed Ranger home in August of 2020 we never imagined that four years later he would be diagnosed with lymphoma.

Ranger was everything you would ever dream of in a dog to be. He was happy, energetic, loving, patient, goofy, and loyal. Our family of three boys immediately bonded with him. He received all of the recommended care and never missed a vet appointment. We were committed to ensuring a healthy pet.

Just before Ranger’s 5^th birthday we brought him to the Vet for a check-up. Prior to the check up we discovered a lump on the left side of his neck. After testing it revealed that it was an aggressive form of lymphoma. We were devastated. How could Ranger have lymphoma at four years old?

We knew that we needed answers. We immediately made an appointment with Partner Veterinary Oncology in Frederick, Maryland. Upon walking into our first appointment  our fears and anxiety began to subside. The staff was kind, empathetic, and calming. When we left we had a plan to treat Ranger and we were well educated as to what to expect. Every question was answered and we were confident that Ranger was receiving the best care.

Ranger loved going to his Oncology appointments. He would walk into each appointment wagging his tail and greeting everyone he could. As his love and attention was given it was also received by each member of the staff.

Unfortunately, Ranger lost his battle with lymphoma on 01/31/2026 at Partner Veterinary. He was surrounded by family and the same caring staff that he grew to love. He was an amazing animal that had an amazing team that treated him. For that we are grateful!
