Remembering Peanut

My daughter adopted Peanut for me on Mother’s day 2019. Peanut instantly became attached to me and I to her. Wherever I would go, Peanut would be right behind me. I hated to be away from her, our bond was unlike any other. Her personality was so unique, playful but also stoic, almost regal. She was my joy, and my twin.
Fast forward through many great times and memories to December 2024. She wasn’t acting like Peanut, we found out that she had lymphoma. There was no question we would try to fight for her no matter the cost. Summit Vet tried 3 different chemo treatments, in the process falling in love with Peanut as well. Unfortunately, the cancer just kept coming back. We gained 3 extra months. Peanut told me it was time to let her go and stop her suffering. The hardest thing I have ever done is say goodbye to my Precious Peanut. Now she waits to jump in my arms when we meet again. Forever in my heart & soul. She took half my heart with her to keep.
