“Norio was the last survivor of 3 siblings — Taro (male) and Hime (female)—who passed away on 1/13/2023 at 13 years and 10 months, and on 5/28/2024 at 15 years and 2 months, respectively.

We found the 3 of them sleeping in a trash can in a neighbor’s backyard in Queens, NY. I instantly fell in love with the black-and-white kitten, Norio. We raised them like our own children from about 2 weeks old, bottle-feeding them around the clock, every 4 hours, day or night for 2 weeks straight.

Norio bravely fought cancer for 5 to 6 years, enduring 4 surgeries during his lifetime. In his final stage, I drove him from Ohio to Illinois—a 3.5-hour journey – every week for 6 weeks to ensure he received the radiation therapy he needed.

Each of our 3 fur babies had their own unique personalities and different fur colors, and they were truly the pride and joy of our lives. We love them dearly and will miss them all so much.”
