Myla Joy was lost to hemangiosarcoma June 25, 2026, she was a magnificent black German Shepherd with striking Czeck bloodlines, tar heels, and pencil toes. As she aged, she had distinguished grey hair of wisdom. She also had the heritage to be highly opinion and vocal. She was a true partner who made sure her voice was heard. She was not just a pet. She was my partner, my teammate and a public servant. She worked alongside me in search and rescue, competed with me in AKC events and brought comfort and joy to nursing homes, assisted living facilities, cancer treatment center, physical rehab center, emergency medical teams and fire fighters.
