Our Melvin was a special little guy with a huge personality.  He loved every moment of his 14 years and took joy in everything and everyone in it — his Mom and Dad, his sister, Mildred, cousins Leroy, Zoe, Magnus, Knox and his beloved Bunny Bear.  Every person he met was his forever friend and everyone loved him in return.  If we were out and met a friend their first words were “How/where is Melvin”.  He had a keen sense of his world, always knowing what was going on around him, and what was said to him and about him. He loved the beach, swimming in both the Assawoman Bay in Ocean City, MD, and in his small pool in the yard as well as chasing butterflies.  He handled his final illness, as his other health issues, with courage and graciousness. If you didn’t know he was sick, you wouldn’t know he was sick.  He was such a brave little fellow and we miss him terribly every day.  There will never be another Melvin.   Our boy was pure magic.  We will love you forever, Mom and Dad
