Lucy came into our lives the summer of 2017 and immediately changed our lives for the better. Lucy was the definition of joy. She always had a big smile on her face and brought smiles to the faces of all who met her. She did not know a stranger and was not shy about demanding cuddles from all who crossed her path. She LOVED playing with her furry siblings Pippa, Mia, and Mars. She also enjoyed giving her signature Big Lulu Hugs and snuggling with her moms on the couch while they hung out in the living room. Her all time favorite place was the beach where she could soak in the sun, play in the water, and dig in the sand. She was a big goofball and would make us laugh with the silly tricks she would do to try and get a treat. One of our favorite features of Lucy was her big nose and she knew how to use it, whether it was nudging our laptops closed so we paid attention to her, pressing it to our faces to wake us up, or using it to get into mischief. 😉

Sadly, after discovering she had a limp one day, we were all devastated to find out that Lucy had an aggressive soft tissue sarcoma on her leg near her chest in September 2025. This led to us crossing paths with Dr. Lewis and the wonderful team at Vet Oncology and Referral Clinic in Milford, OH. Lucy immediately loved the team and was always excited to see them at her appointments. Despite her hardships, she always was in good spirits and kept all of us laughing as she showed off and tried to charm her way into extra treats. While treatment initially was successful, sadly the sarcoma was too aggressive. Lucy fought hard, but lost her battle on January 24th, 2026.

They say that the brightest stars burn the fastest so you must love them while you can. Lucy was our bright star and we will forever cherish the 8 years we were blessed to spend with her.
