Remembering Chip Ahoy

When we first saw Chip Ahoy, we knew we had to have him. He was the only puppy biting our feet versus hiding under a trailer. The almost fifteen years that followed proved we were right. He was the absolute best friend we could have hoped for.  He never wanted to leave our side. He enjoyed swims in the pond and being as dirty as he could be, running with his mommy, taking rides in the truck with his daddy, and of course, pestering our horse, Baron. He also enjoyed being pestered by our cat Jasper. He was the best little brother to our sweet girl Daisy Petal. It was hard watching him leave this world due to an ugly disease, but the beauty was that Dr. Holland and team in Oklahoma City gave him six months he never would have had.  It was a great six months indeed.  He never knew anything was wrong and was never sick. I know we will see him again some day at the gates of heaven, and what a great day that will be. Eternity with my buddy…
