THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE REQUESTING A ROOM:

• The person making the reservation MUST be a current member of VCS. 
• Only one person who will be in the room needs to make the request for a room.
• Requests for a room in the trainee room block opens on May 11 and ends when the block sells out OR on August 1st.
• There are 25 double rooms available at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis at a rate of $169 PLUS applicable fees and taxes.
• A minimum of two trainees must share a room and each person must be registered for the conference.
• All occupants of the room must be veterinary students (those seeking a veterinary medical degree), interns or residents.  No family members or accompanying guests may share the room reserved for trainees.
• VCS DOES NOT keep a list of those searching for a roommate.
• All residents who are selected to present an abstract and who plan to request a travel stipend after the conference must book a room at the headquarter hotel. Reimbursements for AIRBNB’s or other accommodations outside of the conference hotel will NOT be allowed.
• Once the block is sold out, trainees will book rooms within the regular attendee block with a link available on the  accommodations page beginning May 11.

TO MAKE YOUR REQUEST FOR A ROOM IN THIS BLOCK BEGINNING MAY 11:

• Requests will be processed in the order in which they are received via email.
• Email angela@vetcancersociety.org requesting a room in this trainee block beginning May 11.
• VCS will verify the 2026 membership status of the person making the request then follow up with a link to the block.
• Links to the block may not be shared and VCS will monitor the block and room list as reservations are made.
