PRESENTATION METHOD: Case reports will be presented orally with accompanying PowerPoint presentation at the VCS Technician Workshop on Saturday, September 26. All case report presenters should be in attendance.

CASE REPORT PRESENTATION RESTRICTIONS: You may submit multiple case reports, however, you will only be allowed to present one and the particular report selected will be determined by the program chair and the committee.

LENGTH AND FORMATTING: The body of the case report must be no longer than 1,000 words and must be submitted using Microsoft Word. This will be printed, as submitted, in the proceedings. When preparing your document, at the top, include the title, your name, your email address, your institution and all authors, affiliations and references. Following this information, the case report should include an introduction with overview or objectives, a brief description of the case history, materials and treatment methods, results and outcomes of the study. Please include any particular impact this case may or will have on your future approach to similar cases or oncology in whole. DO NOT include tables or graphs as these should be included in the supportive PowerPoint (insertion of “Graph/table to be referenced in .ppt” will not be included in word count). No editing will be done by conference staff. Each author is fully responsible for the content of the case report. You must attach your actual Case Report to the email you send to VCS along with the 2026 Technician Case Report Submission Form.

SUBMISSION: All case reports must be submitted via email to angela@vetcancersociety.org by March 31. Please use “2026 VCS Technician Case Report Submission” as the subject of the email. Be sure to include the 2026 Technician Case Report Submission Form as well.

EDITING YOUR CASE REPORT: You may submit an edited version of your case report any time before July 1 by emailing angela@vetcancersociety.org.

REVIEW: Submissions will be reviewed by conference committee members. Successful applicants will be notified via email by April 15 of assigned time slot for presentation.

REQUIRED: All approved presenters are required to submit a CV/resume, a photo, three learning objectives and five multiple choice questions with answers. Deadlines for those items will be communicated to each presenter.

PRESENTATION: Three case reports will be presented on Saturday during the Technician Workshop. Presentations should be 12 minutes long with three minutes for questions.

HONORARIUM: Those technicians whose case reports are presented at the conference will receive a $150 honorarium.
