Conference Registration Fee

The Annual Conference begins on Thursday, October 26th at 8:00 am with the optional Resident Review Workshop (additional fee required) and additional pre-conference workshop, and ends on Saturday, October 28th at 5:30 pm followed by the Closing Event from 7:00-10:00 pm. The conference fee includes one copy of the proceedings, all breaks, any sponsor-provided meals, Welcome Reception, and one ticket to the Saturday night Closing Event at the Portland Art Museum.  There are some additional fees and guest tickets available.

 

PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOPS 

 

Resident Review Workshop (Thursday, October 26, 8:00 am – 12:00 pm)

  • 2017 VCS Member Residents ONLY: Complimentary
  • All non-member Residents as well as any Student or Intern: $35
  • Professionals and Technicians regardless of membership: $50

Pre-Conference Workshop (Thursday, October 26, 8:30 am – 12:00 pm)

  • Topic: Nutrition, herbs (including marijuana) and supplements: their impact on patient quality of life and outcome
  • More details to be announced soon!
  • $50 for all

Technician Specialty Lab (Thursday, Oct. 26, 8 am – 12 pm & 1:00 – 5:00 pm) SOLD OUT!

  • Diagnostic Hematology and Cytology for Veterinary Technicians
  • $40 for members; $70 for non-members

REGARDING THE RESIDENT PRESENTER RATE:
  • Only CURRENT VCS MEMBER RESIDENTS who are selected and agree to present either an oral or poster abstract are eligible to register using the RESIDENT PRESENTER rate.
  • Non-member Residents who are selected to present an abstract (poster or oral) must use the non-member Resident fee.
  • If you have recently completed your Residency (within last 12 months) but are presenting an abstract with a project that was completed during your residency, you are expected to pay the professional registration rate.
  • All other students, interns and professional presenters must register within their proper membership category.
  • Residents who have submitted an abstract should wait to register for the conference until they receive notification that their abstract has been selected in either the oral or poster presentation category.

You may register online or by printed registration form beginning July 1st. You will find the links to the online registration system and the printable registration form on the bottom of this page when they become available.

 


 

Refund and Cancellation Policy

  • Prior to September 1st, all requests for refunds must be made in writing and emailed to vetcancersociety@yahoo.com. There will be a $50 cancellation fee assessed. No refunds, for any reason, will be made after September 1, 2017.
  • The $100 late fee will be added to all registrations received after September 1, 2017.
  • Pre-registration closes October 13th at 12:00 pm CST. After this date, registration must be completed at the VCS registration booth at the Hilton Portland & Executive Tower and the $100 late fee will be assessed on site.
  • If you registered as a VCS member but have not paid your 2017 dues, you will be asked to do so onsite at the registration table. Please contact Sandi Strother at vetcancersociety@yahoo.com to check the status of your membership if necessary or please pay prior to arriving. Those VCS members who pay their 2017 dues in conjunction with conference registration will still be expected to pay their 2018 dues in January.
  • If you need to split your payment, you must complete the printed registration form and either fax or mail it in with payment information. You will not be able to do a split payment online.
  • Please Note: By registering you give your permission to distribute your name and contact information to the conference attendees and vendors. If you prefer not to be included in these distributed lists, please send a request via e-mail to Sandi Strother at vetcancersociety@yahoo.com.

NOTE TO TECHNICIANS:  Due to the large number of technicians that have registered to date, and the maximum seating capacity of the room, we must cap registration for the VTCS Workshop at 147.  This is an attendance number higher than any we have ever reached before.  If you attempt to register and do not get an AGENDA page in which to select various items and meals, that means that there is no space currently available.  If you would like to be on a wait list, email vetcancersociety@yahoo.com.  If there is a cancellation we will contact those on the wait list in the order in which their request was received.
