Early Abstract Submission Period

March 1 Opening of Abstract Collection for Friday Concurrent Sessions

The 2019 VCS Annual Conference will include a new schedule featuring three concurrent half day sessions covering a variety of specialty topics on Friday.  Each half day session will  feature State of the Art and Expert presenters along with the possibility of panel discussions and a small number 15 minute abstracts.

  • Lymphoma
  • Surgical Oncology
  • Immunotherapy/Translational Medicine
  • Pre-Clinical Molecular/Imaging
  • Radiation/Interventional Radiology
  • Molecular Diagnostics

SPECIAL SUBMISSION DEADLINES:  While the State of the Art and Expert speakers will be hand-selected by the program chair of each session, those who wish to submit an abstract for consideration as a 15 minute abstract presenter in one of the six themed sessions may do so starting March 1 with a submission deadline of March 31st.  Resident abstracts, even if they fit the theme, are not permitted in these Friday sessions but will instead be presented on Thursday afternoon or as a poster on Saturday morning.

SELECTION OF ABSTRACTS FOR SPECIALTY SESSIONS:  Presenters for abstracts selected for presentation on Friday during one of the themed sessions will be contacted in early April.  Those abstracts NOT selected for presentation on Friday, or for those people who submit an abstract after March 31st, will still be graded and considered for presentation (either oral or poster) during the remainder of the conference schedule.  If your abstract fits one of the themed sessions but is not submitted by March 31st, it may be considered for presentation on Saturday or as a poster.

FINAL ABSTRACT COLLECTION DEADLINE:  While only abstracts submitted by March 31st will be considered for a Friday presentation, general abstract submission will officially close on June 16th.  Please note that there are some new rules for submission this year and those changes will be noted on the abstract submission page of this website.
