COVID-19 Updates

2022 VCS Annual Conference Information

SEPTEMBER 14, 2022 UPDATE:  The VCS Executive Committee recently reviewed the original policies put in place concerning vaccinations and negative testing for the VCS Annual Conference to be held next month in Norfolk, VA. We wanted to let you know as soon as possible that we have decided to relax our requirements for our in-person attendance.

VCS encourages all attendees to be vaccinated against COVID-19, and to wear masks on site if desired, but VCS staff will not be checking the vaccination status or negative Covid testing of our attendees and exhibitor staff. Additionally, we will no longer ask for you to upload your documentation online prior to the conference. Recent updates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (updated COVID guidance on August 11, 2022) helped inform our decision. Covid waivers are still required. Attendees agreed to the policy when registering and exhibitor staff must still turn one in at registration.

We understand that with this announcement, some individuals may feel safer by switching to the On Demand presentations when they become available later this fall. We will work with registered attendees who no longer feel comfortable attending in-person to either switch to the On Demand Conference or cancel if absolutely necessary.

Questions regarding the updated policy can be directed to the Sandi Strother at vetcancersociety@yahoo.com. Whether you attend in person, or watch the video presentations afterwards, we are certain that you will enjoy the conference and earn as many CE credits as you desire.
