Remembering Xena
Loved by Josephine Perriello
Xena was the most special creature in my life. She was always there for me, especially when I was sad, and she gave the *best* hugs. I’d never met a kitty quite like her. With her sassy attitude, grumpy ways and chatty nature, she was more human than some humans I know. Her depth of warmth seemed endless, as was her love for her people. She was the first kitty I had the privilege to raise, and I’d like to believe we had quite the adventure together. We’ve lived in so many places in Washington, moved to Texas for a spell, got harassed by a brood of puppies during their formative years, met several different species of exotic birds, and so many people along the way. Anyone who’d ever spent any time with her could tell you how special she was.
You left so quickly and too soon. I didn’t think I’d ever have to say goodbye to you like that. You deserved more, but I hope what I could give was enough. I miss you sweet girl. Keep a chair warm for me. When the time comes, I’ll be seeing you.
