Thank You Melbourne Animal Cancer Care!
Melbourne Animal Cancer Care is a private animal cancer clinic in the eastern suburbs of beautiful Melbourne, Australia. While the staff says that they adore the unique wildlife that Australia is fortunate enough to have, they mainly treat dogs and cats and are grateful to have many beautiful clients and patients.
The clinic’s staff decided that they wanted to celebrate fighting cancer in pets and one of their nurses came up with the idea of making a celebration cancer calendar. They sent emails to all of their current and past clients asking if they wanted to participate by submitting a photo of their pet. The caviat was if their pet was to appear in the calendar they must commit to purchasing at least one calendar. They also decided that all of the money raised from the purchase of calendars would be donated to the Veterinary Cancer Society.
The response to their project was overwhelming! Collating the photos and laying out the design of the images was a lot of fun for their staff. It was great to share the pictures and comments with clients (past and present) as they sent in images and collected their calendars. They already have plans to create a new calendar next year.
Over the years, many of our members have held fundraisers either in their clinics or communities, and some for their birthday’s, and donated proceeds to VCS. We thank ALL OF YOU for your generosity to our Association and know that no matter where we are in the world, together we are making a difference in the lives of animals with cancer.
