Remembering Brodie

We lost Brodie on a beautiful day, the first day of Spring on March 20, 2019. This was a planned end of life event for Brodie which was in our home with a palliative vet. Brodie was diagnosed with Stage V aleukemic leukaemia of the bone marrow in January 2019 with the prognosis of a couple of months. We were beyond heart broken and his 9th birthday was coming up in February.
Brodie was my rock! We were a therapy team for 7 years and he brought so much joy and unconditional love to everyone especially to me. Heartfelt thanks to the staff and Dr. Choy at Seattle Veterinary Specialists in Kirkland, WA and to Dr. Sarah Hopkins at Compassion 4 Paws in Edmonds, WA.
We miss our Brodie boy deeply but as Dr. Sarah said that if there was a perfect time for an end of life ceremony it was March 20, 2019. Brodie is forever in our hearts.
