Remembering Mojo
Loved By Bianca Gibson
I don’t really think people understand how important pets can be. They no longer are pets. They are are family. I have no children and Mojo was my special lil guy. I’m tearing up as I type this.
Mojo was there for every tragedy and for every awesome moment. I recently relocated from Atlanta to Memphis in August of 2016 and I remember thinking, as I was driving on the highway, I didn’t know what Memphis was going to bring but I knew that everything was going to be ok. I looked down at the passenger seat and saw the biggest round brown Yorkie eyes looking straight up at me as if they were telling me ‘everything is going to be perfect. You got me and I got you’. I turned the music up and we headed off to Memphis.
I wish I had more time with Mojo. I wish he could have enjoyed the city. I was so blessed to have been given the opportunity to care for such a sweet and gentle soul. He was the perfect companion. I miss him terribly. But I know that we took excellent care of one another.
An excerpt from one of my favorite poems:
Heaven sure got a precious soul
One so fun and free and clever
Thank you, Mo, for the time we shared
I will love you, my friend, forever.
